Leigh Ann McIlwain, DMD

Dr. Leigh Ann McIlwain, DMD grew up immersed in dentistry, working alongside her father in his practice during her formative years. Inspired by his dedication, she pursued a career in dentistry, earning her undergraduate degree from the University of Florida. She then interned at Harvard Children's Hospital in the Department of Pediatric Dentistrywhile completing her Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) degree at Tufts University. Furthering her expertise, she obtained her Pediatric Dentistry certification from the University of Florida College of Dentistry.

Upon returning to Tampa, Dr. McIlwain and her husband, Dr. Michael Chiaramonte, expanded the McIlwain Dental Group to include General Dentistry and Orthodontics, broadening the scope of comprehensive care for their community.

Dr. McIlwain has been an influential leader in pediatric dentistry, serving as the first female President of the Florida Academy of Pediatric Dentistry (FAPD), President of the Southeastern Society of Pediatric Dentistry (SSPD), and Membership Chair for the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry (AAPD).
