Joseph A. Ortlieb was born in Kingston, NY, and raised in the small town of Kerhonkson, NY. Dr. Ortlieb attended the State University of New York at Buffalo, where he graduated with his Bachelor of Science Degree in Biology. He then attended New York University College of Dentistry, where he graduated at the top of his class with a Doctor of Dental Surgery degree. Upon graduation from dental school, he was accepted into a General Practice Residency at the Veterans Administration in Albany, NY. Dr. Ortlieb then returned to Kingston, NY, where he went into private practice for the next ten years. Dr. Ortlieb moved to Florida and has been at the current location since 1997, practicing general, aesthetic, and reconstructive dentistry. He is a member of the American Dental Association, Florida Dental Association, Academy of General Dentistry, Atlantic Coast Dental Society, and the International Team of Implantologists. Dr. Ortlieb is known for his caring, professional demeanor and attention to detail, resulting in high patient satisfaction. He finds great pride in creating healthy, beautiful smiles that change patients’ lives and inspire greater self-esteem. Dr. Ortlieb is an avid cyclist and has combined this passion with his desire to help others raise funding for various charities. Dr. Ortlieb is a past president and current member of the Board of Directors of the Deerfield Beach Rotary Club.

Dr. Michelle L. Rivera was born and raised in San Juan, Puerto Rico. She attended the University of Puerto Rico in Rio Piedras, where she obtained her Bachelor's Degree in Science. She continued her education at the University of Puerto Rico School of Dentistry, where she completed her Doctor of Dental Medicine degree in June of 2000. Soon after graduating from dental school, she moved to Virginia Beach, where she practiced dentistry at Little Creek Naval Base. While there, she provided dental care to the United States Navy Seals. Before moving to Boca Raton, Florida, Dr. Rivera practiced dentistry for three years in Saginaw, Michigan. Since moving to Boca Raton in 2006, she's been practicing dentistry with Dr. Ortlieb and became an owner of Deerfield Beach Partners in Dentistry in 2011. Dr. Rivera's philosophy as a dental practitioner is to treat patients like family. She provides patients with high-quality dental care in a comfortable and professional environment—her attention to detail results in beautiful smiles. Dr. Rivera is a member of the American Dental Association, the Florida Dental Association, the Broward County Dental Association, the Atlantic Coast Dental Society, the Academy of General Dentistry, and the International Team of Implantologists.

Dr. Karen Giraldo is an accomplished and internationally trained dentist, earning her degree with honors from Universidad CES de Medellín, Colombia, in 2015. She further honed her skills through a rigorous two-year program at the University of Puerto Rico, where she graduated at the top of her class and received the distinguished American Academy of Periodontology award. Dr. Giraldo is passionate about aesthetic dentistry and believes that oral health is integral to overall well-being. She is dedicated to creating a comfortable and welcoming environment for her patients, treating each one as if they were a member of her own family. Her commitment to continuous learning and her drive to deliver exceptional care are the cornerstones of her success in the field. Beyond her professional life, Dr. Giraldo enjoys traveling and spending quality time with her family. Her journey into dentistry was inspired by a desire to transform the patient experience, ensuring that people of all ages feel valued and cared for during their visits. Dr. Giraldo's blend of expertise, passion, and empathy sets her apart as a leader in her field. She is fluent in English and Spanish.
