Dr. Ela Katz graduated from Nova Southeastern University with a Doctor of Dental Medicine in 2018 and is board certified as a general dentist in the state of Florida. Originally from Israel, Dr. Katz immigrated to South Florida at a young age and grew up in the sunshine state. Delivering high-quality dental care to patients is incredibly important to Dr. Katz. She is passionate about helping her patients and building a relationship with them based on trust and compassionate care. When she is not practicing dentistry, Dr. Katz enjoys spending time with her husband, family and golden retriever.

Meet Dr. Lizette Garcia, a Miami native whose passion for dentistry has taken her on a journey of continuous learning and dedication to providing top-notch care to her patients. Dr. Garcia's roots trace back to Miami, Florida, where she was born. She began her academic journey at La Salle High School in Coconut Grove, setting the stage for her future success. Later, she pursued her undergraduate studies at Florida State University, earning a Bachelor's degree in Exercise Physiology with a minor in Chemistry. Dr. Garcia's quest for knowledge and a desire to make a difference led her to Nova Southeastern University College of Dental Medicine, where she graduated with honors. Following dental school, Dr. Garcia began training at the Kings County Hospital Center in Brooklyn, New York, completing a general practice residency. During this time, Dr. Garcia discovered her passion for dental surgery and cosmetic dentistry. Returning to her hometown of Miami, Dr. Garcia's career blossomed. She enjoys merging the art of cosmetic dentistry with innovative procedures such as clear aligner therapy, Botox treatments, and dental implants, enhancing smiles and boosting her patients' confidence. Dr. Garcia's commitment to excellence extends to her dedication to ongoing education. She actively seeks new certifications and keeps abreast of the latest advancements in dental technology. This commitment allows her to provide her patients with the highest level of care. Outside the office, Dr. Garcia treasures her time spent in the beautiful Florida Keys, where she enjoys weekends with family and friends, creating cherished memories. Dr. Veronica de Armas is a highly skilled and experienced Endodontist practicing in the Miami, Florida area. She received her Doctor of Dental Medicine degree from the Harvard School of Dental Medicine after completing her undergrad at the University of Miami. Dr. de Armas is highly respected among her colleagues and is known for her expertise in endodontic procedures. As an endodontist, Dr. de Armas is specially trained in the diagnosis and treatment of diseases and injuries of the tooth pulp and surrounding tissues. She is proficient in a wide range of endodontic procedures, including root canal therapy, root amputation, and apicoectomy, and is skilled in the latest endodontic techniques and technologies. In addition to her clinical expertise, Dr. de Armas is known for her compassionate and caring bedside manner. Dr. Andrew Demos earned his Bachelor’s degree in Biology and Economics from the University of Pittsburgh. Following college, Dr. Demos attended dental school at the University of Pittsburgh School of Dental Medicine. During this time, he realized his passion and love for the specialty of Orthodontics. While in school, Dr. Demos received several honors, including the Clinical Excellence Award in Cosmetic and Restorative Dentistry and the Divisional Excellence Award in Behavioral Science and Oral Biology. After dental school, Dr. Demos completed his orthodontic residency at Jacksonville University School of Orthodontics. Dr. Demos prides himself on being highly skilled in all areas of Orthodontics, and his fondness for his chosen profession is matched only by the quality of his work. In addition to Orthodontics, Dr. Demos is well known for his care and compassion toward his patients.

Dr. Flora Sarmiento's formative years were spent in Texas, near the Mexican border. Following high school, she pursued her undergraduate education at St. Mary's University in San Antonio, Texas, earning a Bachelor of Science in Biology with a minor in Chemistry. Driven by a passion for advancing her knowledge, she obtained a second Bachelor of Science in Dental Laboratory Materials from the University of Texas Health Science Center in San Antonio. Relocating to Florida, Dr. Sarmiento furthered her education, achieving a Master of Science in Biomedical Sciences from Barry University in 2013. Dr. Sarmiento's journey in dentistry continued as she matriculated to dental school in Fort Lauderdale, culminating in her Doctor of Dental Medicine degree award from Nova Southeastern University in May 2018. Dr. Sarmiento's commitment to excellence is underscored by her extensive training in various dental disciplines, including dentoalveolar surgery, dental implant surgery, maxillofacial pathology, orthognathic surgery, and treating traumatic injuries to the face and jaws. She completed a comprehensive 4-year Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery Residency at Howard University in Washington D.C., earning a certificate in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery. Known for her compassion, empathy, and meticulous explanation of treatment options, Dr. Sarmiento prioritizes helping her patients feel at ease. Her dedication to ongoing learning is reflected in her avid interest in oral surgery literature and self-improvement books. Outside the operating room, Dr. Sarmiento embraces challenges as a lifelong learner and enjoys various activities such as reading, traveling, visiting beaches, dancing, singing, and running. Having completed three full marathons and seven half marathons, she is determined to enhance her timing and potentially participate in a triathlon alongside her colleagues in the near future.

Dr. Francisco Oliver received his Doctor of Dental Medicine degree in 2004 from the University of Puerto Rico, Medical Sciences Campus where he also completed his general practice residency. Dr. Oliver pursued his Advanced Education in General Dentistry (2006) and specialty in periodontics (2009) at Nova Southeastern University. He is a member of several dental associations, including the Academy of Osseointegration, American Academy of Periodontology, American Dentistry Academy and Florida Dental Academy. He is also bilingual, speaking English and Spanish. Dr. Oliver enjoys mountain biking, running and fishing in his spare time, but most of all, he enjoys spending time with his wife, three kids and three dogs.
