Dr. McMillian is happy to be a part of Sage Dental and brings a wealth of experience in comprehensive clinical dentistry, patient care, and treatment planning custom designed to meet each patient’s particular needs. He is a member of the American Dental Association, the Florida Dental Association, and the West Coast Dental Association. Over his many years of clinical practice, Dr. McMillian has been a member of many professional organizations that have honed his skills as a clinician, including the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry (AACD) and the International Association for Orthodontics (IOA). He received his D.M.D. degree and graduated from Tufts University School of Dental Medicine in Boston, Massachusetts, where he became a Boston Celtics fan. His undergraduate studies were at the University of Cincinnati, Ohio, where he grew up and is an avid Ohio State Buckeyes football fan. He also follows his Alma Mater, The Cincinnati Bearcats. Although sports is a nice distraction and allows for an easy way to “break the ice” with his patients, Dr. McMillian’s real passion in life revolves around his amazing family and the privilege of being involved in ministry. He is the proud father of three sons and one daughter, and they are all outstanding and accomplished adults. When not enjoying his family and ministry, Dr. McMillian likes to pursue another favorite pastime, wildlife photography. His passion in this area relates to the American bald eagle and all birds of prey. Dr. McMillian is proud to have an excellent team of dedicated professionals to help him deliver exceptional care to Sage Dental Winter Haven patients. Dr. Karim Nashed is an accomplished dentist with a diverse range of interests and passions. He earned his dental degree from Ain Shams University in Egypt in 2005, marking the beginning of his remarkable journey in dentistry. Furthering his education, he graduated from the University of Southern California (USC) in 2022, solidifying his expertise in the field. Beyond his professional achievements, Dr. Nashed is an active member of his Coptic Orthodox church, enjoys playing tennis and, doing artwork, and singing in his church choir. He is fluent in Arabic, English, and French and knows a bit of Italian, Spanish, and Indian.

Dental education has been at the core of Dr. Sixto Cornejo Zavala's journey, and his pursuit of excellence has led him on a path that spans two continents. A native of Ecuador, he embarked on his dental education at the Catholic University of Guayaquil, graduating in June 2016. Determined to broaden his horizons and deepen his knowledge, Dr. Zavala made a significant move to the United States, specifically to Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Here, he embarked on a specialized journey in Periodontics at the esteemed University of Pennsylvania, commencing on July 5th, 2017, and successfully completing his program on June 30th, 2020. Extraordinary challenges marked this period as the world grappled with the COVID-19 pandemic, demonstrating Dr. Zavala's resilience and determination in the face of adversity. After conquering the field of Periodontics, Dr. Zavala's pursuit of dental excellence continued. He ventured to upstate New York, particularly to Rochester, where he pursued an Advanced Education in General Dentistry residency. This comprehensive program, which took place from July 1st, 2020, to June 30th, 2022, further enhanced his skill set and versatility in dentistry. Dr. Zavala's dedication extends beyond his professional journey. He is fluent in both English and Spanish, enabling him to connect with a diverse range of patients and serve their dental needs effectively. His bilingual proficiency promotes effective communication and fosters a sense of inclusivity in his practice.

"Dr. Maria A. Giron Cerrato has been practicing dentistry for 19 years. Originally from Honduras, she earned her Doctor in Dental Surgery degree from the Autonomous National University in 2003. Following graduation, she spent her early career treating patients at her father's private practice in Tegucigalpa. Dr. Giron Cerrato obtained her Doctor in Dental Medicine degree, graduating Summa Cum Laude from Temple University. She then completed specialty training in Endodontics at Albert Einstein Medical Center in Philadelphia in 2016, with an award from the American Association of Endodontists for the presentation of her research project. Dr. Giron Cerrato attended New York University for advanced comprehensive dentistry and endodontics training. She also holds an MBA in Human Resources from Goldey Beacom College in Wilmington, Delaware. Dr. Giron Cerrato enjoys volunteering in local and international health missions and traveling to remote parts of the globe to serve the impoverished. Dr. Giron Cerrato's goal is to provide patients with compassion, kindness, and quality dental treatment. Dr. Giron Cerrato enjoys exploring nature and spending time with her two young kids and husband, and she is fluent in English and Spanish."
