Paola Berrios Merced, DMD

Dr. Paola Berrios Merced, DMD, was born and raised in Puerto Rico, where her dedication to excellence began early. A competitive swimmer in her youth, her athletic achievements earned her a scholarship to pursue a Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Biotechnology at the University of Puerto Rico. Dr. Berrios graduated Magna Cum Laude in both her undergraduate studies and her Doctorate in Dental Medicine (DMD) from the University of Puerto Rico, exemplifying her commitment to academic and professional excellence.

Following dental school, Dr. Berrios completed an intensive two-year residency in Advanced Education in General Dentistry (AEGD) at NYU-Lutheran Medical Center. During this residency, she received advanced training in oral rehabilitation, dental implants (both surgical and restorative), and Invisalign, equipping her with the expertise to provide comprehensive and innovative care to her patients.

Dr. Berrios’ dedication to serving others has been a cornerstone of her career. Early on, she recognized the importance of providing dental care to underserved communities, inspiring her to volunteer as a dentist in Colombia and Guatemala. She has also offered pro-bono treatments to veterans, incarcerated individuals, and immigrants, demonstrating her deep empathy and commitment to making a difference. Dr. Berrios strives to deliver high-quality dental care while creating a comfortable and welcoming environment for every patient.

Fluent in both Spanish and English, Dr. Berrios connects with patients from diverse backgrounds, ensuring clear communication and personalized care.  Outside the office, Dr. Berrios enjoys spending time with her friends and family. Her hobbies reflect her adventurous and vibrant personality, including traveling, paddleboarding, playing pickleball, and dancing salsa and bachata.
