If you’re experiencing severe discomfort that suggests the need for an extraction, rest assured we’re equipped to handle it promptly. We’ll assess your situation with the utmost care and if an extraction is needed, we’ll ensure it’s as comfortable and stress-free as possible. Don’t wait it out — a same-day visit can provide the relief and treatment you need.
Toothaches: Don’t ignore that severe discomfort—it’s a signal that your teeth need attention quickly. A warm salt water rinse may clear debris, and a cold compress and acetaminophen can provide temporary relief. For persistent issues, book a same-day visit to address the root of the problem before it escalates.
Oral Lacerations: If you’ve suffered a cut to your tongue, lip, or cheek and it’s bleeding, apply pressure with sterile gauze. It’s important to manage bleeding and minimize the risk of infection. If the bleeding persists or the cut is deep, let’s take a look today.
Damaged Teeth: A broken, cracked, or chipped tooth calls for immediate attention. Rinse your mouth with warm water and use a cold compress to reduce swelling. Bring any pieces of the tooth you can find with you. We’ll take a closer look and decide on the next steps during your same-day visit.
Dislodged Permanent Tooth: If you’ve had a tooth knocked out, handle it carefully by the crown, give it a quick rinse, and try to place it back in its socket. If that’s not possible, keep the tooth moist in milk or water and come see us immediately. We’ll do everything we can to save your smile.
- For broken wires and braces that are causing discomfort, try to gently push the wire into a comfortable position.
- If that’s impossible, cover it with a cotton swab and make an appointment to come in today.
- Avoid cutting the wire, as this could lead to swallowing it.
Jaw Pain or Swelling: Don’t dismiss that ache in your jaw; it might be more than just a bad day. Pain or swelling in your jaw can be at the forefront of a TMJ disorder, an infection, or something requiring more urgent attention.
