Dr. Rick Pyun was born and raised in the NYC/NJ area but has recently embraced the warmth and charm of Southern hospitality in Georgia and Tennessee. Although dentistry was not his childhood aspiration, life’s journey led him to discover his true calling in this rewarding profession. After earning his Doctor of Dental Medicine degree from Tufts School of Dental Medicine in 1996, Dr. Pyun practiced for several years before establishing Smile for Life Family & Cosmetic Dental, his successful practice in New York. Dr. Pyun is deeply grateful for dentistry's unique combination of art and science, allowing him to make a meaningful impact on his patients’ lives. He cherishes the connections he forms with individuals of all ages, finding joy in the playful humor of children and the rich life stories shared by adults. Dr. Pyun is passionate about volunteering and dedicates time to local initiatives such as Georgia Baptist Missions and international outreach through organizations like Hand in Hand Share Missions to Vietnam. These opportunities allow him to give back by providing much-needed dental care to underserved communities. Outside the office, Dr. Pyun enjoys exploring local hidden gems, walking scenic trails with his wife Lydia and their rescue dog Bailey, playing tennis and golf, and capturing the beauty of life through photography.
